Pre-Press Department

AKA prides itself on our state-of-the-art prepress department. Staffed by knowledgeable and eager technicians, your job is handled by professionals from beginning to end. The environment is clean and friendly. Calibration of our devices is maintained on a regular schedule.

We use the most up-to-date software and equipment to ensure that your files are preflighted, trapped, and imposed correctly for the press it is to be printed on. We use both Mac and PC platforms and accept files on a variety of media such as DVD and CD-ROMs, as well as via email or the FTP site.

Printergy Evo Workflow
Our Printergy Evo workflow is the backbone of our Prepress Department. In an extremely automated ROOM environment (Rip Once, Output Many), it handles all the preflighting, trapping, and screening tasks. We will accept native files with supporting fonts and graphics from any program to create the certified pdf's for proofing and final output. Evo also allows us to produce our High Definition Printing. You'll notice cleaner, more vibrant colors, smoother gradations, and pictures that appear to be continuous tone.

Kodak Magnus 400
We have the ability to go direct from computer to plate (CTP) with our Magnus 400. This enables us to keep your costs low by eliminating the need for expensive negatives and stripping. It also helps us to reduce turn-around time, so you get your project completed sooner. The 400 is a thermal device and provides an incredible 2540 dpi resolution to give crisp line art and rich photos, so your jobs are always produced at the highest quality possible. You won't believe the CTP difference!

Epson 9800 Digital Proofer
The Leader in Professional Prepress Proofing, Epson's 9800 is quite possibly the highest quality proofing system available today. It has a resolution of 2880 x 1440, and prints to widths up to 44" by any length.  It produces superior color to ensure consistent proofs day after day.
