     John Pell entered the field of direct mail and direct marketing in 1990. Those early years introduced John to working in list rental fulfillment, file maintenance, and analysis of client house files along with the transactional applications and master file update. Soon he was managing the interface between clients and personnel in data processing. His understanding of the client's need for information coupled with the technical knowledge of how to retrieve and organize that information have served him and his clients well.

     As the director of list marketing for AKA, he has helped build the data processing and personalization capabilities for AKA. Introducing new software and high speed laser printing he had an immediate impact on operations. Multiple forms of personalization drove address and insert operations into multi-way match production. New software brought merge/purge and postal automation capabilities. As time passed the sheer number of lists processed by AKA created the impetus for us to research and create the list management and brokerage aspects of AKA.
